Founder and Broker-in-Charge, Charlene Smith, 28 years in the industry:
Living and working in the Carolinas for over 48 years my life path has evolved in and around interior design, real estate and renovation. I started my own design firm years ago and have remained involved on a smaller scale business offering personalized, tailored and creative design services. The business always dovetailed with real estate so I took the plunge, and got my license in NC and SC. After several years working with well-respected brokerage firms, I launched Great House Properties in 2006.
In addition to my perpetual real estate experience, I have been fortunate to also parlay my executive experience as the “Face of NARI” (National Association of the Remodeling Industry- the exclusive trade association of the remodeling industry) having served as Executive Director (2005-2011). I have rolled up my sleeves with homeowners, contractors, suppliers and service companies alike.
Both the remodeling industry and the real estate business have endeared me to rewarding “relationship-building” experiences. I will welcome the opportunity of working with you.
